Requirements

Percentage Finder requires that you have JavaScript support enabled in your browser for all calculations to work properly.

Moving between fields

Mouse: Click the field you want to edit.

Keyboard: Use the Tab key to move to the next field. Use Shift+Tab to move to the previous field.

Calculating

Mouse: Click the "Calculate" button.

Keyboard: Press Enter to perform the calculation.

The result appears in the designated result field. If there are errors in your input, the result field will be empty and the background of fields containing errors will be highlighted in red.

Decimal separator

You can use either a dot (.) or comma (,) as a decimal separator in your calculations.

Thousands separator

Please don't use thousands separators (like 1,000 or 1.000) as the Percentage Finder treats both dot and comma as decimal separators. Enter numbers without thousands separators for accurate calculations.

Calculator Types

Our calculator supports multiple percentage calculation types:

• What is X% of Y? - Calculate a percentage of a number

• X is what % of Y? - Find what percentage one number is of another

• What is the % increase/decrease? - Calculate percentage change between two values

• X plus/minus Y% - Add or subtract a percentage from a number
